Metal Fabrication for Any Project
At Baseline Custom fabricating, we strive to be the best in the field of metal fabrication. The fabrication industry in Canada is highly competitive, and high quality results are the standard. Metal fabrication includes cutting, shaping, milling and other machining processes to shape metals.
Metal fabrication is done with sheet metal and there are several methods employing either automated (CNC) or conventional controls.
These methods need the metal worker to take into consideration the strength, hardness, conductivity and resistance of the metal to corrosion. In metal fabrication, welding, bending and cutting can be used to produce precise results with no waste.
These are some of the metals most commonly used in metal fabrication.
- Bronze – This is an alloy of copper that has been in use since 3500 BC. Considered stronger than copper and much denser and heavier than steel, bronze has been used in the manufacture of wiring, plumbing, coins and kitchenware.
- Brass – This material is made of zinc and copper. It is normally used in the production of door knobs, bolts, pipes, clock parts and many musical instruments. Brass has very good acoustic properties.
- Aluminum – This is a lightweight and versatile metal that is very durable. It has excellent conductivity for heat and electricity. It is also ideal for low-temperature applications, especially in cooking, refrigeration and aeronautics.
- Magnesium – This metal has a very light structure and low density that make it perfect for something that requires stiffness. Magnesium is ideal for machines with rapid rotation, automobile parts and aircraft housing.
For 30 years we have provided Toronto and the GTA with the highest quality of laser cutting and metal fabrication. We have knowledgeable and experienced staff to take on any metal fabrication project.
